There will be a few options to choose from as there are so many common persuasive techniques that people use to try to convince you, sell you, and get you to believe things.

Go to this link in google doc's to access the powerpoint. Do the activity as asked.
Option #2: 1 Hit
You will learn 3 major persuasive techniques, aka propaganda, and see some examples. Some examples are intense. You will answer questions about the techniques along the way.
Follow the presentation and do the activity asked, in a post on your blog.

Create a Post titled, "Simply Persuading Propaganda" USE COMPLETE SENTENCES!!
Answer these questions:
1. If you were trying to persuade someone to do something, what would you do and why?
2. Define Propaganda as though you were telling a third grader
3. Tell 6 different places where you find propaganda (so, don't name six commercials, etc)
4. Define, as though to a fourth grader, 5 techniques of propaganda you find online...(Google)
5. Tell about a commercial that uses propaganda. Why does this propaganda work so well?
6. Why do people use propaganda?
7. Why do people use persuasive techniques? What is the point?
8. Tell about a commercial that gets stuck in your head a lot. Why does this get stuck in your head? How do you feel about this commercial?
